Ok so what is the Real Black Network?

We are so excited about the new Real Black Network and know that you will be too. Why? Because, like the magazine, it goes beyond the typical, so the Real Black Network not only leverages advertising but grows audience and traffic so that everyone comes out ahead. As we expand, we are engaging with some very exciting partners and sites that want to gain more than simple advertising revenue.

What revenue models do you offer?

Being a member of The Real Black Network will do two things for you. It will grow your traffic and generate revenue from this larger base. The Real Black Network ads you are able to display on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impression (CPM) ads. This means that advertisers pay either when users click on ads, or when the advertiser’s ad is shown on your site. You’ll receive a portion of the amount paid for either activity on your website. Although we don’t disclose the exact revenue share, our goal is to enable publishers to make as much or even more than they could with other advertising networks. Remember, we also focus on growing traffic within our network.

How much will I earn?

Monthly reports will show you traffic before you started the program and then monthly traffic after joining the Real Black Network. You’ll also be able to see the total number of page and ad unit impressions, ad clicks, click-through rate, effective CPM, and your total earnings so you can get an idea of how well the program is performing for you and how much you can expect to earn over time in the program.

And how do I get traffic?

The Real Black Network takes the passionate and fascinating editorial of the specially selected publishers and uses an integrated content model to grow traffic for all the sites in the Real Black Network. We essentially make the pie bigger for all of the sites in the network and of course this incremental traffic produces additional revenue! After we have your site generating advertising revenue, we give you a set of tools to build traffic for all of the sites within the Real Black Network.

Is there a minimum contract length?

Every publisher joining the Real Black Network is asked to commit to the network for one calendar year. You’ll place the Real Black Network ad code on your ad spaces and display an Real Black Network widget on your site.

Ok … what are the Real Black Network join requirements?

Not just anyone can become part of the Real Black Network, but if your application is accepted the Real Black Network can help you generate advertising revenue and traffic from our Tier-1 partners. Some of the high-level requirements include:

• We focus on sites that cover style, beauty, health and relationships, news and social issues geared specifically to the Black community.
• We prefer content to be updated frequently, if not daily.
• While there is no minimum traffic requirement, priority will be given to larger sites.
• There can be no pornographic or other unacceptable adult-themed material, including produced or member-generated adult images or text on your site.

Who is Customerforce?

Customerforce is the technology provider and Fatvine™ is their software platform. They provide all the systems and tech support to make sure the ads are showing up on your site.

What are your payment terms?

Publisher payments are issued on or about the 30th day after the end of the month in which they were collected from the advertiser. This time frame may vary. It can be up to 90 days for some of the slower paying agencies. It is our responsibility to deal with collections from advertisers and agencies so that you are paid as quickly as possible.

Does the Real Black Network have a minimum age requirement for participation?

Yes. You must be at least 18 years of age to join the Real Black Network.

How long does it take to be approved to join the Real Black Network?

Approval typically takes less than two weeks but we are experiencing significant demand and this may lengthen processing times.

Do I have to display Ads?

No. You can simply be a traffic partner by displaying the Real Black Network Widget on your site. This will allow you to send and receive traffic from the Real Black Network. You do have to publish content to join the Real Black Network so e-commerce sites it is time to start that blog!

Is there a cost to join?

There is no cost to join the Real Black Network.

Do you require exclusivity in your contracts?

No, but it is dependent on the category.

How do I sign up for the Real Black Network and what are your terms?
